Staff from the Relocation Advisory Service (RAS) team recently travelled to Poland for the fourth consecutive year to exhibit at careers fairs in Poznan and Rzeszow, and give advice and information about living and working in Scotland.
With a vibrant community of over 70,000 Polish people now living and working in Scotland, we are pleased to continue our good working relationship with colleagues in
EURES, the Europe wide arm of Job Centre Plus, who organised both events for those who wish to explore working in different cultures and environments across Europe.
The first fair, in Poznan, in the North West of Poland, had around 2000 visitors, many of whom visited the RAS stand to enquire about different aspects of living and working in Scotland.
The second event was held in Rzeszow, in the South East, and was over two days. It was a very busy fair with lots of enquiries about specific occupations such as teaching, engineering and construction.
Such events are a good example of how the RAS continues to promote Scotland overseas as well as providing useful information and advice from its office in Glasgow by email and telephone.
