Local and national newspapers are a great source of job advertisements.

Some, such as the Guardian, feature particular occupational areas on certain days (for example Educational Vacancies appear in the Guardian on Tuesdays).

Whilst others, such as The Scotsman and The Herald feature jobs on a Friday.

Many professions have their own journals that may feature job advertisements.
