Dentist

A local dentist can be found in the same way as a GP, but there are differences in how they deliver NHS treatment.

Some people get free dental care:

• Children and some young people
• Those on state benefits
• Expectant mothers (up until a year after their child is born)

However, everyone else must pay standard charges (such as from £5.64 for a basic examination), but prices can vary depending on the extent of an individual’s treatment.
