Dundee is the ideal hot spot for the Agarwal Family
“Having been in business for myself in India for more than nine years I wanted to use my skills and experience to progress a secure career. I was also keen to improve life for my family. I was qualified to MBA standard and started to look around for suitable opportunities.
"I knew very little about Scotland or the employer Scottish Institute for Enterprise so had to research not only the Company but the country.
"I am now working under the highly skilled migrant visa, as a Regional business advisor with Scottish Institute for Enterprise and have been amazed at the talent in Scotland. The entrepreneurial skills and ideas that I have found definitely have global potential. It is very satisfying to see my coaching and mentoring skills recognised and watch the improvement with students that I work with.
"Dundee was listed as the sunniest city in Scotland which immediately caught my attention. The landscape and climate reminds me of my hometown in Darjeeling. Combined with similarities of people in general with their caring nature, friendliness and focus on family life, I made the decision to relocate to Scotland.
"My wife Vishaka has just completed her masters’ degree in Microbiology and is confident in finding work in the field of Life Sciences which is expanding in Scotland. With two young children at primary and nursery school we have experienced many of the facilities available in Scotland. I travel throughout Scotland with my job and use this opportunity to capture the magic of the landscapes with my camera.
“To sum up, there have been absolutely no regrets about coming to Scotland.”
